While employed by a small locally owned telecommunications company in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Bob established RK Electronics in December of 1975, during the height of the Citizens Band (CB) radio craze; providing sales, service and installation of CB's, police scanners, antenna's along with home and car stereo systems.

During his tenure as a central office technician, he was directly responsible for (or involved in) central office switching equipment; telecommunications equipment for Walworth County Government (among others); voice/data applications; building sound systems; emergency generators and backup power systems; and much more.

The knowledge and experience he gained through his employment and by "moonlighting" in his electronics business served him well.

Always interested in new technology, he purchased his first personal computer in 1977.

In 1993 he was promoted to central office manager and continued to gain knowledge with hands-on experience with technology, including pagers; cellular; computers and peripherals; fiber optics; DSL for Internet along with web page maintenance.

In 2008 the local Elkhorn company was purchased by a large corporation. Due to restructuring and downsizing, his position was eliminated in 2009 and he accepted early retirement.

What does this mean to you, the customer?

It means the individual working on your personal computer has a vast knowledge to draw on for troubleshooting. It also means he will make every reasonable effort to protect the data on your computer during repair and not "up-sell" anything to you that you don't need or want.

The result? Professional service at a fair price!
